Topic: BE NOT AFRAID OF THE STORM

Our God has been gracious since the beginning of the 21 days fasting and prayers, we thank God for unquestionable testimonies that are rolling in from members both online and onsite, home and abroad.

This only attest to it that God who is ‘I AM’ is still in charge of His work and He is attending to every matter at the right time and season, my prayer is that this will be your season of Divine Multiplication in Jesus name.

Today the Almighty Yahweh (God) ask me to tell you “Not to be Afraid” be fearless. He sent me to give you a Comforting words concerning all of your challenges which you have allowed to take the better part of you.

The text above pointed to us the event that happened immediately Christ Jesus dispatched the multitude and was left His Disciples on the boat to go before him.

While on the high in the middle of the night, the Disciples saw Jesus Christ walking on water, and they were terrified, fear gripped their hearts because of the situation but they could not recognised Christ, they thought it is a ghost, and their cried out in fear.

What does it means to be AFRAID?

1. When one is filled with Fear or Apprehension.
2. When someone is filled with regrets or concerns over unwanted situation.
3. When someone is worried or concerned or insecure about something (s)/events.

I want us to know that God is aware of our tendency to fear/ afraid, but He cares about every fear we face.

In the Bible we find commands and encouragements to not feel fear, take courage, fear not, and more – over 300 times.

Our God does not want us to be consumed by fears and our fears do not surprise him in the least.

We need to realize that our God is not disappointed in us when we have fears or worries on anything.

In today’s scripture reading, Jesus Christ told the Disciples not to be afraid, just as He is telling you today not to be afraid of any challenges, problems, difficulties, situations, storms that is confronting you.

In verse 28-30: When Jesus Christ allay there fears, Peter in his curiosity to confirm, asked Jesus Christ if he should come over? And Jesus Christ bid him to come.

• Do you recognise Jesus Christ today?
• Do you know Him as your Lord and Savior?
• Do you trust in His power and His mightiness?

Despite that Peter knew Jesus Christ, and when Jesus Christ bid him yo come and while walking on the sea, Peter got distracted and fear of the storm gripped him and he began to sank and immediately he shouted to Jesus Christ again, He was rescued.

What is your own STORM that is tormenting you, and creating fear in you?

Is it STAGNATION, DEBT, BARRENNESS, LACK, POOR ACADEMIC STATUS, REJECTION BY LOVE ONE(S), SICKNESSES, or others?

Beloved, want us to know that it is Fear that kills person quickly and not the storm itself, and the only instruments that you can use to silence all your storms is prayer in Jesus Christ, and the storm will not only be still buy it will disappear and you will overcome it.

How can you find solutions in the storm?

1. Reaching out to the one that walks on the water (Jesus Christ) and not sink, One that is capable of handling all situation.

2. Trusting Christ to save you from that your storm, put your trust in God for every thing to be resolved. John 14:1. “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. John 14:1 NLT; Psalm 56:3; Psalm 20:7, Proverbs 3:5-6

3. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

4. Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

5. Always dwell in God’s presence, because His presences brings peace. Psalm 91:1.. He who live (dwells) in the shelter of the most high, shall find rest in the shadow of the Almighty…..NLT Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 NLT.

6. Fear God and not your problems, as He has better things for you that will explode the greatness in you this year. Psalm 103:13. The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. Psalms 103:13 NLT

How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who [reverently] fear You, Which You have prepared for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of man!

I pray as you Keep away from your fears, focusing (relying), looking up to Christ the beginning and finisher of our faith, may you experience divine turnaround and Multiplication in your life in Jesus name.

Let Us Pray.

1. Let’s appreciate God for Day 16, for His presence always in our lives.
2. Let’s thank God for the miracles and testimonies being witness and in anticipation for your awaited miracles.
3. O Lord, give me the spirit to overcome fears in my life, I overcome the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus.
4. O Lord, deliver me from every storm that is threatening my existence, my life, my business, my marriage, my academics in Jesus name.
5. O Lord, I trust in you deliver me and family from every generational curse that has been a storm in my life today in Jesus name.
6. O Lord, have compassion on me, never leave me alone to the hands of the mockers who are waiting for my down fall.
7. O Lord, relieve me of my burdens and set me on the way to prosperity this year in Jesus name.
8. O Lord, I’m destined to exceed abundantly,in multiples, help me to succeed this year beyond ordinary in Jesus name.
